The base of the mattress is a tough coated Polyurethane (PU) to prolong longevity. The Invacare Softform Excel has a contoured foam core which is designed to evenly distribute the weight of a patient, promote greater patient comfort and facilitate pressure ulcer prevention. The base of the mattress features a firm foam layer to provide substantial support and a partially concealed zip around three sides allows easy inspection of the foam core.
